telesisFootball is back at Heritage - in a big way.
Thursday night at seven, Heritage hosted football against Lake Havasu's Telesis Prep at the Hohokam Park in Mesa, Arizona.
It was very solid performance by both the offensive and defensive teams the was reflected in the final score.
As the sun set, the kickoff of a new season began with the sidelines packed with students, friends, faculty and family who cheered the team to victory.
Heritage begun their entry into football a few years ago with flag football. They later fielded a small team into tackle football. Some games were tough to watch as the players had to play both offense and defense running themselves to death.

School Begins Again

RegistrationI lived in Logan, Utah for 5 years. Fall and the beginning of school always remind me of that fact.

My daughter enrolled at Utah State University. My wife went up to drop her off and fell in love with the town. It was beautiful. Nestled in the valley between the Wellsville and Logan Mountains, Cache Valley was a quaint town of about 34,000 with all of the valley adding up to just over 50,000 people. I know this for a fact. Wal-Mart and Super Wal-Mart won't build in a town less than 50,000.

Logan hit the magic number and before long we had 3 Golden Arches, Super Wal-Mart and an Olive Gardens.

As I said, the fall in Logan is crisp, electric and glowing in Autumn colors. It is beautiful. Then, two weeks later the leaves drop, the trees are brown sticks and it stays cold for 7 months. We always hoped for no snow before Haloween and hoped that it would stop by June 1st.

I can only say that 3 of the 4 seasons are beautiful and I love the summers up there. Other than that, enjoy the valley. We have the same traffic, congestion and smog - and you don't have to shovel it.

Welcome back to Heritage!
